A bridal procession piece based on Song of Songs. Originally written and performed for my own wedding. This piece features a SATB 1st and 3rd verse that act as a kind of refrain and a 2nd quieter verse that is intended for a tenor. An optional organ fanfare is added to the beginning. The recording is a virtual performance.
Arise my beloved, my beautiful one and come!
For the winter is past and the rains are over and gone.
You have ravished my heart my sister, my bride
You have ravished my heart with one glance of your eyes!
How sweet is your love, my sister my bride!
Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my perfect one!
Then come, my beloved, my fairest one make haste!
For the flowers have bloomed and the earth is full of new life.
