God is My Light

 

 

 

A sacred song composed in a pseudo passacaglia form with a vocal melody and imitating countermelody on the refrain. Features two accompaniment parts with suggested harpsichord and harp. An organ version is being worked on to make it more liturgically appropriate. Based on Psalm 27 and 1 Corinthians 13. Part of the accompaniment is taken from an early baroque cello or bassoon duet sonata by Joseph Bodin de Boismortier. The recording is a virtual performance.
